Regent University School of Communication and Arts Students Receive Awards in Film Competition
Last month, four students from Regent University’s School of Communication and the Arts (SCA) were part of a nine-person team and claimed five awards at the 48 Hour Hampton Roads Film Project for Best Directing, Best Actress, and Best Writing categories.
Their accomplishments add to an already impressive array of 445 awards SCA students have won in past film competitions.
Award categories capture various elements of film production, ranging from screenwriting to directing.
The tally, now sitting at 450, provides a picture of the quality work students — both graduate and undergraduate — continue to produce.
“One of our goals in the School of Communication and the Arts is to produce work that the public finds fresh and uplifting, art that brings honor to Christ by virtue of its quality, relevance, and truth,” said SCA Director Dr. Peter Fraser. “Our many film festival awards … speak to the success of our efforts.”
SCA offers numerous degree programs in a variety of disciplines. For more information, visit regent.edu.
